Founded in 2008, the Physical Education Foundation of India (PEFI) brings together people committed to physical education and sport. Its work connects the development of educators and sports professionals with the broader goal of increasing participation.
PEFI’s stated mission is to promote participation in sports and improve access to sports infrastructure and opportunities, whether people take part competitively or for recreation.
Through professional training, conferences and its chapter network, PEFI creates spaces for knowledge exchange, collaboration and advocacy for physical education.
